WikiLeaks Gets The Boot From Amazon
WikiLeaks has been in headlines lately, but not because of a controversial topic. Amazon, their web hosting company, decided to shut them down. A day before they were shut down, the popular site had to change service providers. It has been noted that Amazon has been under tremendous stress because of the fact that they were hosting the site. Tons of people have wanted it shut down, but there weren’t anything legally they could do. There is speculation that the government has been the ones trying to hack into the site. All of this was confirmed on the website’s Twitter account.
WikiLeaks is a popular site that has gained enormous attention over the past two years for leaking information that’s supposedly held from the government. Anyone can leak any type of documents anonymously. Some people are upset about this happening yet others are glad that the site is down for the meantime. There’s no word on who they’ll decide to host with next, but everyone’s on the case about it.
